This is the story of Stuart Chaifetz and his son Akian. After hearing that his ten year old Autistic son was having violent outbursts in his class, he wired his son and sent him off to school. What he finds is shocking.
The teachers at Akian’s school, Horace Mann Elementary in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, repeatedly tell the ten year old with Autism “Shut your mouth” and ”Knock it off” in a very harsh tone, causing the young boy to cry. They tell him that he is not allowed to see his father after he visits his mother. One teacher takes it as far as calling Akian a bastard.
I’m not sure about you, but this outrages me to a point beyond any explanation. To repeatedly make a young Autistic boy cry and to call him a bastard is completely unacceptable. Only one teacher aide, whose voice you will hear in the video, has been fired. The teacher is still working at the school. Please help this video go viral so the state of New Jersey will take action and help prevent this violence in schools.
